द्यावा पृथिव्यौ विज्ञेयौ एते च षडशीतयः / देवाः प्रजज्ञिरे सर्वे नासिकद्रियमानिनः
dyāvā pṛthivyau vijñeyau ete ca ṣaḍaśītayaḥ / devāḥ prajajñire sarve nāsikadriyamāninaḥ
Kilalanin ang Langit (Dyauḥ) at ang Daigdig (Pṛthivī), at ang walumpu’t anim na (tattva) na ito rin. Mula sa mga ito isinilang ang lahat ng mga deva—yaong namamahala at kumikilala sa sarili bilang kapangyarihan ng pang-amoy (ilong).
