FAQs

This verse situates later teachings within a sacred cosmological map by naming progenitors (Prajāpatis), their spouses, and the origins of key sage groups like the Bālakhilyas.

It does not directly describe the soul’s post-death journey; instead, it supports the Purāṇic framework by identifying ṛṣi lineages whose teachings and rites later guide dharma and ritual conduct.

Use it as a reference point for understanding Purāṇic cosmology and for contextual reading—recognizing that ethical and ritual teachings are grounded in an inherited ṛṣi tradition.
