सबीजं वापि निर्बोजं ध्यानमेतत्प्रकीर्तितम् / भ्रुवोर्मध्ये स्थितां बुद्धिं विषयेषु युनक्ति यः
sabījaṃ vāpi nirbojaṃ dhyānametatprakīrtitam / bhruvormadhye sthitāṃ buddhiṃ viṣayeṣu yunakti yaḥ
Ang dhyāna na ito ay ipinahayag na may dalawang uri: may binhi (may sandigan) at walang binhi (walang sandigan). Ang nagtatatag ng talino sa pagitan ng dalawang kilay at hindi ito itinatali sa mga bagay ng pandama—siya ang tunay na nagsasagawa ng dhyāna.
