एतेन पूजाविधिना मासान् द्वादश हायनम् । नीत्वाथोपरमेत्साध्वी कार्तिके चरमेऽहनि ॥ २१ ॥

Transliteration

etena pūjā-vidhinā māsān dvādaśa hāyanam nītvāthoparamet sādhvī kārtike carame ’hani

Translation

Sa pamamaraang ito ng pagsamba, ang malinis na asawa ay dapat magsagawa ng debosyonal na paglilingkod nang tuluy-tuloy sa loob ng labindalawang buwan, ibig sabihin isang taon. Pagkaraan ng isang taon, sa araw ng kabilugan ng buwan sa Kārttika, dapat siyang mag-ayuno at tapusin ang panata.
