सांवत्सरं पुंसवनं व्रतमेतदविप्लुतम् । धारयिष्यसि चेत्तुभ्यं शक्रहा भविता सुत: ॥ ५४ ॥

Transliteration

sāṁvatsaraṁ puṁsavanaṁ vratam etad aviplutam dhārayiṣyasi cet tubhyaṁ śakra-hā bhavitā sutaḥ

Translation

Nagpatuloy si Kaśyapa Muni: Kung isasagawa mo ang seremonyang tinatawag na puṁsavana, na tapat at walang pagkukulang sa loob ng hindi bababa sa isang taon, magsisilang ka ng anak na lalaking nakatakdang pumatay kay Indra. Ngunit kung may kapintasan sa pagtupad ng panatang ito, ang anak na iyon ay magiging kaibigan ni Indra.
