Dadhīci’s Supreme Charity and the Opening of Indra’s War with Vṛtrāsura
तथाभियाचितो देवैर्ऋषिराथर्वणो महान् । मोदमान उवाचेदं प्रहसन्निव भारत ॥ २ ॥
tathābhiyācito devair ṛṣir ātharvaṇo mahān modamāna uvācedaṁ prahasann iva bhārata
O Bharata (Parīkṣit), ayon sa tagubilin ng Panginoon, lumapit ang mga diyos kay Dadhīci, ang dakilang rishi na anak ni Atharvā. Siya’y napakabukás-palad; nang hingin ang kanyang katawan, agad siyang bahagyang pumayag. Ngunit upang marinig ang aral ng dharma mula sa kanila, siya’y ngumiti at tila nagbibiro, at nagsalita nang ganito.
