Prahlāda Rejects Demonic Diplomacy and Proclaims Navadhā Bhakti
aprameyānubhāvo ’yam akutaścid-bhayo ’maraḥ nūnam etad-virodhena mṛtyur me bhavitā na vā
In this verse, Hiraṇyakaśipu observes that Prahlāda is “akutaścid-bhayaḥ”—fearless from any quarter—showing the Bhagavatam’s theme that devotion to the Lord makes one spiritually fearless.
After seeing Prahlāda’s unwavering devotion and unusual steadiness despite punishments, Hiraṇyakaśipu recognizes the boy’s extraordinary, immeasurable potency and suspects that opposing him may bring about his own death.
The verse highlights that inner spiritual strength and fearlessness arise from sincere devotion and integrity—encouraging one to remain steady in faith and values even amid hostility or pressure.
