Nārāyaṇa’s Impartiality, Absorption in Kṛṣṇa, and the Jaya–Vijaya Descent
Prelude to Prahlāda’s History
Because Yudhiṣṭhira was astonished by the extraordinary event that had occurred at the Rājasūya sacrifice and sought authoritative spiritual clarification from Nārada as the sages listened.
Śukadeva Gosvāmī narrates this verse, describing the scene at the Rājasūya-yajña where King Yudhiṣṭhira addresses the divine sage Nārada Muni.
When faced with confusing or astonishing events, seek guidance from qualified spiritual teachers and hear in the company of sincere devotees, rather than relying on speculation.
