Devotion in Kimpuruṣa-varṣa and the Glory of Bhārata-varṣa

सत्यं दिशत्यर्थितमर्थितो नृणां नैवार्थदो यत्पुनरर्थिता यत: । स्वयं विधत्ते भजतामनिच्छता- मिच्छापिधानं निजपादपल्लवम् ॥ २७ ॥
satyaṁ diśaty arthitam arthito nṛṇāṁ naivārthado yat punar arthitā yataḥ svayaṁ vidhatte bhajatām anicchatām icchāpidhānaṁ nija-pāda-pallavam
Tinutupad ng Kataas-taasang Panginoon ang hinihiling ng tao; ngunit hindi Siya nagbibigay ng biyayang magtutulak sa tao na humingi nang paulit-ulit. Sa halip, kahit hindi ito hangarin ng deboto, kusang ibinibigay Niya ang kanlungan sa Kanyang mga talampakang-loto—na siyang nagpapawi ng lahat ng pagnanasa. Ito ang Kanyang natatanging awa.
The devotees mentioned in the previous verse approach the Supreme Personality of Godhead with material motives, but this verse explains how such devotees are saved from those desires. Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam (2.3.10) advises:
This verse says the Lord may grant requested boons, but such gifts often fuel further craving; therefore they are not the highest mercy.
Because for selfless devotees the Lord gives His own lotus feet, which end restless desire and grant ultimate fulfillment (bhakti leading to liberation).
Pray less for outcomes and more for devotion and character; align actions with service, and treat gains as secondary while seeking steady remembrance of the Lord.
