Prabhāsa Departure Set-Up
पर्युष्टया तव विभो वनमालयेयं संस्पार्धिनी भगवती प्रतिपत्नीवच्छ्री: । य: सुप्रणीतममुयार्हणमाददन्नो भूयात् सदाङ्घ्रिरशुभाशयधूमकेतु: ॥ १२ ॥
paryuṣṭayā tava vibho vana-mālayeyaṁ saṁspārdhinī bhagavatī pratipatnī-vac chrīḥ yaḥ su-praṇītam amuyārhaṇam ādadan no bhūyāt sadāṅghrir aśubhāśaya-dhūmaketuḥ
O Makapangyarihang Panginoon, tinanggap Mo kahit ang nalantang kuwintas ng mga bulaklak sa gubat na inilagay namin sa Iyong dibdib—ganyan ang Iyong habag. Sa Iyong transendental na dibdib nananahan magpakailanman si Śrī Lakṣmī; sa pagkitang naroon din ang aming handog, maaari siyang mabalisa na parang selosang kasamang-asawa. Gayunman, sa Iyong awa, wari’y isinasantabi Mo ang Iyong walang-hanggang kabiyak at tinatanggap ang aming alay bilang pinakadakilang pagsamba. O Maawain, nawa’y ang Iyong mga paang-loto ay laging maging apoy na tumutupok sa masasamang pagnanasa sa aming puso.
In Bhagavad-gītā (9.26) it is stated:
This verse teaches that accepting what has been offered to and touched by Krishna—here, His forest garland—awakens steady devotion to His lotus feet and helps burn up impure desires in the heart.
Uddhava poetically says the garland becomes so blessed and radiant by resting on Krishna that it seems to rival even Śrī (Lakṣmī) in fortune—expressing the incomparable glory of anything connected to the Lord.
Honor and receive Krishna-prasada and anything offered in devotion with reverence; this practice steadily redirects the mind toward Krishna and weakens unhealthy cravings and negative intentions.
