Śukadeva Gosvāmī asked King Parīkṣit, “What more do you wish to hear?” Now the King replies that he has perfectly understood the message of Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam and that he is ready, without further discussion, to go back home, back to Godhead.

FAQs

This verse shows Parīkṣit consciously surrendering speech to Adhokṣaja and fixing a desire-free mind in Him before releasing the life-airs—an ideal of devotional remembrance at death.

As Śukadeva was his spiritual guide narrating Bhāgavatam, Parīkṣit respectfully seeks consent to conclude his hearing and now depart while absorbed in the Lord.

Use speech for kīrtana, prayer, and truthful devotional words, and train the mind daily through hearing and remembrance of Kṛṣṇa so detachment and clarity grow naturally.
