Balarāma Slays Balvala and Visits Sacred Tīrthas; He Attempts to Stop Bhīma–Duryodhana
This verse describes a devotee respectfully taking the brāhmaṇas’ permission and then bathing in the Kauśikī, indicating tīrtha-bathing as a traditional act of purification and reverence connected with holy places.
The verse highlights proper dharmic conduct—honoring saintly brāhmaṇas and acting with their consent—before undertaking sacred acts like tīrtha-bathing and visiting holy waters.
Approach spiritual practices with humility and guidance—respect elders/teachers, seek blessings, and perform purifying disciplines (like prayer, sādhana, or pilgrimage) with a sincere, regulated attitude.
