Dhruva’s Darśana, Transformative Prayers, and the Boon of the Dhruva-loka

ध्रुवाय पथि दृष्टाय तत्र तत्र पुरस्त्रिय: । सिद्धार्थाक्षतदध्यम्बुदूर्वापुष्पफलानि च ॥ ५८ ॥ उपजह्रु: प्रयुञ्जाना वात्सल्यादाशिष: सती: । शृण्वंस्तद्वल्गुगीतानि प्राविशद्भवनं पितु: ॥ ५९ ॥
dhruvāya pathi dṛṣṭāya tatra tatra pura-striyaḥ siddhārthākṣata-dadhy-ambu- dūrvā-puṣpa-phalāni ca
Habang dumaraan si Dhruva Mahārāja sa daan, ang magagalang na mga ginang sa paligid ay nagtipon mula sa iba’t ibang lugar upang siya’y makita; dahil sa pag-ibig na parang ina, nagbigay sila ng mga pagpapala at nagwisik ng puting buto ng mustasa, sebada, gatas-asim, tubig, sariwang damong dūrvā, prutas at mga bulaklak. This verse lists mustard seeds, unbroken rice, yogurt, water, durvā grass, flowers, and fruits as auspicious offerings used to honor Dhruva Mahārāja.
Dhruva had returned as a spiritually accomplished devotee and celebrated prince; the women honored him with traditional auspicious articles as a sign of reverence and blessing.
