अहो उभयत: प्राप्तं लोकस्य व्यसनं महत् । दारुण्युभयतो दीप्ते इव तस्करपालयो: ॥ ८ ॥

Transliteration

aho ubhayataḥ prāptaṁ lokasya vyasanaṁ mahat dāruṇy ubhayato dīpte iva taskara-pālayoḥ

Translation

Ay! Nasa malaking panganib ang mga tao mula sa magkabilang panig—gaya ng mga langgam sa gitna ng kahoy na nasusunog sa dalawang dulo. Sa isang panig ay haring walang pananagutan, sa kabila ay mga magnanakaw at tulisan.
