अथास्मदंशभूतास्ते आत्मजा लोकविश्रुता: । भवितारोऽङ्ग भद्रं ते विस्रप्स्यन्ति च ते यश: ॥ ३१ ॥
athāsmad-aṁśa-bhūtās te ātmajā loka-viśrutāḥ bhavitāro ’ṅga bhadraṁ te visrapsyanti ca te yaśaḥ
O minamahal, ang iyong mga anak na lalaki ay isisilang bilang bahagyang pagpapakita ng aming kapangyarihan at magiging tanyag sa daigdig. Nawa’y mapasa iyo ang pagpapala—ipapahayag nila ang iyong dangal sa buong mundo.
It states that from Priyavrata’s lineage will arise renowned sons who will spread and expand his fame, along with Manu’s auspicious blessing.
In the genealogy narrative of Canto 4, Manu encourages and blesses Priyavrata, foretelling celebrated descendants who will uphold the family’s renown.
It highlights the value of living so that one’s character and responsibilities create lasting good reputation—through virtuous descendants, students, or contributions that benefit society.
