The Future Manus and the Avatāras in Their Manvantaras
This verse lists the key administrators of a particular Manvantara—Manu’s sons, leading brāhmaṇas (sages), and the presiding devas—showing that cosmic order is maintained through divinely appointed roles in each age-cycle.
In Canto 8, Chapter 13, Śukadeva describes successive Manvantaras to explain how the universe is governed through recurring cycles, identifying the principal persons (sons of Manu, sages, and deities) in each period.
The verse encourages faith in divine governance and dharma: just as cosmic leadership changes by time, our circumstances also shift—so one should stay steady in spiritual practice and align life with sacred duty rather than temporary arrangements.
