Deva–Asura Battle after the Nectar; Bali’s Illusions and Hari’s Intervention
ततो महाघना व्योम्नि गम्भीरपरुषस्वना: । अङ्गारान्मुमुचुर्वातैराहता: स्तनयित्नव: ॥ ४९ ॥
tato mahā-ghanā vyomni gambhīra-paruṣa-svanāḥ aṅgārān mumucur vātair āhatāḥ stanayitnavaḥ
Pagkaraan, lumitaw sa langit ang makakapal na ulap na hinahampas ng malalakas na hangin; sa malalim na dagundong ng kulog, nagsimula silang magpaulan ng nagliliyab na baga.
It describes a terrifying celestial phenomenon during the Deva–Asura battle: huge thunderclouds, driven by strong winds, rumbling loudly and raining down burning embers.
Śukadeva Gosvāmī is narrating these events to Mahārāja Parīkṣit as part of the account of the battle between the demigods and the demons.
Even the environment can become turbulent during conflict; the verse reminds a devotee to stay steady, seek divine shelter, and not be overwhelmed by frightening external conditions.
