Ṛग्विधानम् (Ṛgvidhāna) — Applications of Ṛgvedic Mantras through Japa and Homa

उपेतितिसृभीराज्ञो दुन्दुभिमभिमन्त्रयेत् तेजो बकञ्च प्राप्नोति शत्रुञ्चैव नियच्छति

upetitisṛbhīrājño dundubhimabhimantrayet tejo bakañca prāpnoti śatruñcaiva niyacchati

Kapag ang hari ay malapit nang lumisan, dapat niyang basbasan (pagtibayin sa mantra) ang tambol ng digmaan; sa gayon nakakamit niya ang ningning at sigla, at napipigil din ang kaaway.
