Related Themes: Agni Purana 308 (Īśa–Gaurī upāsanā and siddhi-prayoga context)
It prescribes a Shaiva upāsanā sequence—japa (mantra recitation), dhyāna (visual meditation), and pūjā (ritual worship)—focused on Śiva and Gaurī in their Kirāta-like forms, aimed at siddhi-attainment.
It exemplifies the Agni Purāṇa’s practical ritual manual style, cataloging specific deity-forms and applied methods (japa–dhyāna–pūjā) alongside promised results, much like a compendium of actionable religious technologies.
The practice is presented as both spiritually efficacious (granting siddhis) and psychologically purifying (removing viṣāda—despondency—etc.), linking devotion and disciplined contemplation with inner uplift and merit.
