Chapter 306 — त्रैलोक्यमोहनमन्त्राः
Mantras for Enchanting the Three Worlds
Lord Agni (in discourse to Vasiṣṭha, typical Agni Purāṇa frame)

Related Themes: Agni Purana 306 (Pūjā-vidhi: mantra-tantra, deva-tarpaṇa); Agni Purana 307 (Trailokya-mohinī/Lakṣmī worship begins)
It teaches a mohana-oriented tarpana sequence: propitiation using water libations, specific ‘sammohanī’ flowers, and a prescribed ingredient (nityanta), coupled with invocation of deities and application of a ‘trailokya-mohana’ bīja-mantra.
Beyond mythology, the Agni Purāṇa catalogs practical ritual technologies—here, a specialized mantra-rite (kalpa) with materials, deity-invocation, and a bīja-mantra—illustrating its compendium-like coverage of ceremonial and esoteric procedures.
The act of tarpana is framed as ‘satisfying’ invoked powers; when paired with a mohana-bīja, it is meant to harness controlled influence through sanctioned ritual means, emphasizing intentionality, purity of procedure, and accountability for the rite’s effects.
