FAQs

Ayurvedic obstetric management: a dietary and linctus-type remedy (rice-water with lājā, or a lickable mix of licorice, sugar, raisins, honey, and ghee) for discharge/bleeding during pregnancy.

It shows the text functioning as a practical handbook beyond theology—preserving clinical-style Ayurvedic guidance on women’s health and pregnancy complications alongside other disciplines covered in the Agni Purana.

By protecting pregnancy and supporting maternal well-being through dharmically approved care, the instruction aligns with the Purāṇic ideal of sustaining life (rakṣaṇa) and fulfilling household duty (gṛhastha-dharma) with compassion and right conduct.
