Ang ekoddiṣṭa (śrāddha na iniaalay para sa iisang yumao) ay isinasagawa nang walang handog sa mga diyos; may iisang arghya at iisang pavitra (singsing na gawa sa damong kuśa); ginagawa nang walang ritong āvāhana-agni (pag-anyaya sa apoy), at isinasagawa sa paraang apasavya (ang banal na sinulid ay isinusuot sa kanan).
