FAQs

It teaches the ritual protocol for arranging mūrtikumbhas (icon-bearing consecrated pots), specifying auspicious directional placement—starting from the center and proceeding from the east—within a malanāśana (impurity-removing) rite.

It blends practical ritual engineering (directional/central placement akin to Vastu-logic) with stated worldly outcomes (sovereignty, spouse, offspring), showing how the Agni Purana integrates liturgy, spatial rules, and rajadharma-linked prosperity aims.

The rite is framed as malanāśana—removing defilement—so correct placement and consecration are presented as generating purification and auspicious merit that supports both spiritual cleanliness and desired life-results (prosperity, lineage, stability).
