Paramahansa
न दण्डं न शिखां न यज्ञोपवीतं न चाच्छादनं चरति परमहंसः । न शीतं न चोष्णं न सुखं न दुःखं न मानावमानौ च; षडूर्मिवर्जं निन्दागर्वमत्सरदम्भमदर्पेच्छाद्वेषसुखदुःखकामक्रोधलोभमोहहर्षाहंकारादीन् च हित्वा स्ववपुः कुणपमिव दृश्यते । यतस्तद्वपुरपध्वस्तं संशयविपरीतमिथ्याज्ञानानां यो हेतुः तेन नित्यनिवृत्तः; तन्नित्यबोधः; तत्स्वयमेवावस्थितिः । तं शान्तमचलमद्वयानन्दविज्ञानघन एवास्मि । तदेव मम परमं धाम; तदेव शिखा च; तदेवोपवीतं च । परमात्मात्मनोरेकत्वज्ञानेन तयोर्भेद एव विभग्नः; सा सन्ध्या ॥ २॥

na daṇḍaṃ na śikhāṃ na yajñopavītaṃ na cācchādanaṃ carati paramahaṃsaḥ | na śītaṃ na coṣṇaṃ na sukhaṃ na duḥkhaṃ na mānāvamānau ca; ṣaḍūrmivarjaṃ nindā-garva-matsara-dambha-madārpecchā-dveṣa-sukha-duḥkha-kāma-krodha-lobha-moha-harṣāhaṃkārādīn ca hitvā svavapuḥ kuṇapam iva dṛśyate | yatas tad vapur apadhvastaṃ saṃśaya-viparīta-mithyā-jñānānāṃ yo hetus tena nitya-nivṛttaḥ; tan nitya-bodhaḥ; tat svayam evāvasthitiḥ | taṃ śāntam acalam advayānanda-vijñāna-ghana evāsmi | tad eva mama paramaṃ dhāma; tad eva śikhā ca; tad evopavītaṃ ca | paramātmātmanoḥ ekatva-jñānena tayoḥ bheda eva vibhagnaḥ; sā sandhyā || 2 ||
ปรมหังสะมิได้เที่ยวไปพร้อมไม้เท้า มิได้มีมวยผมศิขา มิได้มีสายศักดิ์สิทธิ์ และแม้แต่ผ้าคลุมก็ไม่ยึดถือ. สำหรับท่าน ไม่มีหนาวไม่มีร้อน ไม่มีสุขไม่มีทุกข์ ไม่มีเกียรติไม่มีอัปยศ; พ้นจากคลื่นทั้งหก (หิว กระหาย โศก หลง ชรา มรณะ). เมื่อละคำติเตียน ความยโส ความริษยา ความเสแสร้ง ความเมามัว ความทะนง ความใคร่ ความชัง สุขและทุกข์ กาม โกรธ โลภ หลง เริง และอหังการเป็นต้นแล้ว ท่านเห็นกายของตนประหนึ่งซากศพ. เพราะกายนั้นเป็นเหตุแห่งความสงสัย ความรู้กลับตาลปัตร และความรู้เท็จ เมื่อถูกลบล้างแล้ว ท่านจึงถอนตนจากมันเป็นนิตย์; ท่านคือความรู้ตื่นรู้อันคงที่; ท่านตั้งมั่นด้วยตนเอง. เรานี่เองคือความสงบ ไม่หวั่นไหว อทวิภาวะ เป็นก้อนแน่นแห่งอานันทะ-วิญญาณ. นั่นแลคือที่พำนักสูงสุดของเรา; นั่นแลคือศิขาของเรา; นั่นแลคือสายศักดิ์สิทธิ์ของเรา. ด้วยญาณแห่งความเป็นหนึ่งเดียวของปรมาตมันและอาตมัน ความแตกต่างย่อมถูกตัดขาด—นั่นคือสันธยา (การบูชายามสนธยา).
The Paramahaṃsa does not go about with a staff, nor a topknot, nor a sacred thread, nor even a covering. For him there is neither cold nor heat, neither pleasure nor pain, neither honor nor dishonor; free from the six waves (hunger, thirst, sorrow, delusion, old age, death), abandoning blame, pride, envy, hypocrisy, intoxication, arrogance, desire, hatred, pleasure and pain, lust, anger, greed, delusion, elation, egoism and the rest, his own body is seen as though a corpse. Because that body—being the cause of doubt, perverted cognition, and false knowledge—has been sublated, he is ever withdrawn (from it); he is constant awareness; he is self-established. I am indeed that peaceful, unmoving, non-dual mass of bliss-consciousness. That alone is my supreme abode; that alone is my topknot; that alone is my sacred thread. By the knowledge of the oneness of the Supreme Self and the self, their difference is indeed cut asunder—this is the twilight worship (sandhyā).
