Kena Upanishad 12: Verse 12

स तस्मिन्नेवाकाशे स्त्रियमाजगाम बहुशोभमानामुमां हैमवतीम्। तां ह उवाच—किमेतद्यक्षमिति॥१२॥

सः । तस्मिन् । एव । आकाशे । स्त्रियम् । आजगाम । बहु-शोभमानाम् । उमाम् । हैमवतीम् । ताम् । ह । उवाच । किम् । एतत् । यक्षम् । इति ॥१२॥

sa tasminn evākāśe striyam ājagāma bahuśobhamānām umāṃ haimavatīm | tāṃ ha uvāca—kim etad yakṣam iti ||12||

แล้วพระอินทร์ก็ไปถึงในอากาศนั้นเอง พบสตรีผู้หนึ่งคืออุมา ไหมวตี ผู้รุ่งเรืองด้วยรัศมีอันยิ่งใหญ่ แล้วตรัสถามนางว่า “ยักษะนี้คืออะไร?”

He (Indra) came, in that very space, upon a woman—Uma Haimavatī—radiant with great splendor. He said to her: “What is this Yakṣa?”
