ekadantāya vidmahe vakratuṇḍāya dhīmahi | tanno dantiḥ pracodayāt ||10||

We know (and contemplate) the One-tusked; we meditate upon the Curved-trunked. May that ‘Dantin’ (the Tusker) impel (inspire) us.

Brahman (saguṇa-upāsanā leading toward brahma-jñāna)Mahavakya: Indirect: functions as upāsanā (devatā-dhyāna) that prepares the mind for mahāvākya-based realization (e.g., ‘अहं ब्रह्मास्मि’ / ‘तत्त्वमसि’).AtharvaAtharva-veda (Ganapatyatharvaśīrṣa / Ganapati Upaniṣad; śākhā not securely specified in the text-tradition) ShakhaChandas: Gāyatrī-style (devatā-gāyatrī; not strictly Vedic Gāyatrī in all recensions)
