प्राण आद्यो हृदिस्थाने अपानस्तु पुनर्गुदे । समानो नाभिदेशे तु उदानः कण्ठमाश्रितः ॥३५॥

प्राणः । आद्यः । हृदि-स्थाने । अपानः । तु । पुनः । गुदे । समानः । नाभि-देशे । तु । उदानः । कण्ठम् । आश्रितः ॥

IAST Transliteration

prāṇa ādyo hṛdisthāne apānas tu punar gude | samāno nābhideśe tu udānaḥ kaṇṭham āśritaḥ ||35||

Translation

ปราณะอันเป็นประธานอยู่ ณ บริเวณหัวใจ; อปานะอยู่ที่ทวารหนัก. สมานะอยู่ ณ บริเวณสะดือ; และอุทานะอาศัยอยู่ที่ลำคอ.

Academic Translation

Prāṇa, the foremost, is in the region of the heart; apāna, again, is in the anus. Samāna is in the region of the navel; and udāna is situated in the throat.
