rājovāca | kāni tattvāni ko dehī kiṃ jñeyaṃ yogināṃ vada | utpannajñānasadbhāvo yogayuktaḥ kathaṃ bhavet
The King (Rājā)
Tirtha: Vastrāpatha-kṣetra
Type: kshetra
Listener: Īśvara
Scene: The king, hands folded, leans forward in earnest inquiry; the guru sits composed; between them a palm-leaf manuscript or rosary; the atmosphere is that of a sacred teaching pavilion near a shrine.
Sincere inquiry—asking what is real, who the self is, and what must be known—is presented as the gateway to authentic yogic attainment.
The questions arise within the Vastrāpatha-kṣetra Māhātmya (Prabhāsa Khaṇḍa), implying the kṣetra as a fertile ground for yogic knowledge.
No ritual is prescribed here; it is a request for doctrinal instruction on tattvas, the dehī, and yogic realization.
