Tirtha: Dvārakā (within Prabhāsa-kṣetra narrative ambit)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Pilgrims/devotees within Dvārakāmāhātmya frame
Scene: A sacred assembly in Dvārakā: a learned reciter seated on a vyāsapīṭha, listeners of varied ages with folded hands, with Skanda/Kumāra subtly presiding as divine witness; palm-leaf manuscript and ritual lamp in foreground.
Listening to Purāṇic māhātmya in satsaṅga purifies the listener; devotion and attentive hearing are themselves dharma-practices.
The verse is a general phalaśruti; in context it supports the Dvārakā-māhātmya, thereby reinforcing Dvārakā’s sanctity.
Śravaṇa (devotional listening/recitation) in the presence of the virtuous is recommended.
