मिथिलाधिपतेः कन्या या उक्ता ब्रह्मवादिभिः । सा ब्रह्मविद्यावतरत्सुराणां कार्य्यसिद्धये । सीता जाता लांगलस्य इयं भूमिविकर्षणात्

ธิดาแห่งผู้ครองมิถิลา—ดังที่ผู้รู้พรหมประกาศ—เป็นอวตารแห่งพรหมวิทยา เสด็จลงมาเพื่อให้กิจของเหล่าเทวะสำเร็จ และเมื่อไถพรวนแผ่นดินด้วยคันไถ นางก็ประสูติเป็นสีตา อุบัติจากคันไถนั้น
