namo rudrāya mahate nīlakaṃṭhāya vedhase | viśvāya viśvabījāya jagadānaṃdahetave
Brahmā
Tirtha: Kedāra
Type: kshetra
Listener: Rudra/Śiva
Scene: Brahmā praises Rudra as Nīlakaṇṭha: Śiva’s throat bears a deep blue hue, his presence vast like the cosmos, radiating serene bliss while standing as the seed of creation.
The Lord is both immanent (the All) and transcendent (the Seed/cause), and devotion recognizes his many cosmic functions.
No single tīrtha is named in this verse; it is part of the Kedārakhaṇḍa’s Śiva-centered narrative.
Repeated namas (salutations) as a form of japa-like praise is implied.
