दाक्षायण्या कृतं यच्च न दृष्टं किं त्वयानघ । त्वं चापि यज्ञे दक्षस्य अवदानार्थमागतः । अवदानं प्रयच्छामि तव चापि महाभूज
dākṣāyaṇyā kṛtaṃ yacca na dṛṣṭaṃ kiṃ tvayānagha | tvaṃ cāpi yajñe dakṣasya avadānārthamāgataḥ | avadānaṃ prayacchāmi tava cāpi mahābhūja
“โอ้ผู้ปราศจากมลทิน ท่านมิได้เห็นหรือว่าทักษายณี (สตี) ได้กระทำสิ่งใด? และท่านเองก็มายังยัญญะของทักษะเพื่อรับส่วนที่จัดสรรไว้ ข้าจักมอบส่วนนั้นแก่ท่านด้วย โอ้ผู้มีพาหาอันยิ่งใหญ่”
