द्वारि स्थितं तया देव्या दर्शितं शंकरस्य च । असौ मम पिता देव याचस्व विगतत्रपः । ददाति मां न संदेहस्तपस्विन्मा विलंबितम्

dvāri sthitaṃ tayā devyā darśitaṃ śaṃkarasya ca | asau mama pitā deva yācasva vigatatrapaḥ | dadāti māṃ na saṃdehastapasvinmā vilaṃbitam

เมื่อประทับยืน ณ ธรณีประตู พระเทวีทรงชี้ให้พระศังกระทอดพระเนตรแล้วตรัสว่า: “ข้าแต่เทพะ นี่คือบิดาของข้า จงทูลขอโดยไม่ต้องละอาย เขาจะยกข้าให้ท่านแน่ มิให้สงสัยเลย โอ้ผู้บำเพ็ญตบะ อย่าชักช้า”
