ईश्वर उवाच । गिरिजातपसा विष्णो जितोऽहं नात्र संशयः । पाणिग्रहार्थमेवाद्य गंतुकामो हिमालयम्

īśvara uvāca | girijātapasā viṣṇo jito'haṃ nātra saṃśayaḥ | pāṇigrahārthamevādya gaṃtukāmo himālayam

พระอีศวรตรัสว่า “โอ้พระวิษณุ ด้วยตบะของพระคิริชา เราถูกพิชิตแล้ว—หาได้มีความสงสัยไม่ วันนี้เราปรารถนาจะไปยังหิมาลัยเพื่อประกอบพิธีปาณิครหะ รับพระหัตถ์ของนางเป็นคู่ครอง”
