तरुणी रूपसंपन्ना सौभाग्येन परेण हि । नारदस्य वचः श्रुत्वा रोषेण महता तदा । उवाच वाक्यं मधुरं किंचिन्निष्ठुरमेव च

taruṇī rūpasaṃpannā saubhāgyena pareṇa hi | nāradasya vacaḥ śrutvā roṣeṇa mahatā tadā | uvāca vākyaṃ madhuraṃ kiṃcinniṣṭhurameva ca

นางผู้เยาว์ งามพร้อม และมีสิริมงคลยิ่ง ครั้นได้ฟังวาจาของนารทก็เกิดโทสะใหญ่ แล้วกล่าวถ้อยคำอันหวาน แต่แฝงความแข็งกร้าวเล็กน้อย
