यावन्न हरिणाक्षीणामपांगविवरेक्षिताः । मया व्यवसितं चित्ते तदानीं तां जिहीर्षुणा

yāvanna hariṇākṣīṇāmapāṃgavivarekṣitāḥ | mayā vyavasitaṃ citte tadānīṃ tāṃ jihīrṣuṇā

ตราบใดที่ข้ายังไม่ถูกสายตาเฉียงจากหางตาของนางผู้มีดวงตาดุจเนื้อทรายทิ่มแทง ปณิธานในใจก็มั่นคง; แต่ครั้นความใคร่จะพานางไปเกิดขึ้น ปณิธานนั้นก็สั่นคลอน
