เบื้องแรก โยคีวางลมปราณจากบริเวณสะดือเข้าสู่ดวงหทัย; แล้วจึงนำไปสู่เพดานปาก และระหว่างคิ้ว—สู่ศูนย์ดอกบัวที่มีกลีบสี่ กลีบสิบหก กลีบสิบสอง และกลีบสามสิบสอง (สองเท่าของสิบหก)
