तस्यां दत्तं हुतं चेष्टं सर्वमेवाक्षयं मतम् । सर्वदारिद्र्यशमनं भास्करप्रीतये मतम्

Transliteration

tasyāṃ dattaṃ hutaṃ ceṣṭaṃ sarvamevākṣayaṃ matam | sarvadāridryaśamanaṃ bhāskaraprītaye matam

Translation

ในวันนั้น ไม่ว่าจะถวายทาน บูชาไฟ (โหมะ) หรือประกอบกิจธรรมใด ๆ ทั้งสิ้น ล้วนถือว่าให้ผลเป็นอักขยะ ไม่สิ้นสุด และเชื่อว่าเป็นการระงับความยากจนทุกประการ เพราะกระทำเพื่อความปีติของภาสกร (พระอาทิตย์)
