ऊषरे वापितं बीजं भिन्नभांडे च गोदुहम् । भस्मनीव हुतं हव्यं मूर्खे दानमशाश्वतम्

เมล็ดที่หว่านในดินเค็มกันดาร น้ำนมโคที่เทลงในภาชนะร้าว และหัวยะที่บูชาลงในเถ้าถ่าน—ฉันใด ทานที่ให้แก่คนเขลาก็ไม่ยั่งยืน ไม่ก่อผลถาวร ฉันนั้น
