बाल उवाच । व्यक्तं तैस्तमसा दत्तं दानं पूर्वेषु जन्मसु । रजसा पूजितः शंभुस्तत्प्राप्तं स्वकृतं च तैः

bāla uvāca | vyaktaṃ taistamasā dattaṃ dānaṃ pūrveṣu janmasu | rajasā pūjitaḥ śaṃbhustatprāptaṃ svakṛtaṃ ca taiḥ

พาละกล่าวว่า: ชัดเจนว่าในชาติก่อนๆ เขาได้ให้ทานแม้อยู่ใต้อำนาจแห่งตมัส; และภายใต้อำนาจแห่งรชัส เขาได้บูชาพระศัมภู ดังนั้นเขาจึงได้รับผลแห่งกรรมที่ตนกระทำเอง
