ततो यज्ञोपवीतं दद्यात् अनेन मंत्रेण । सूत्रतंतुमयं शुद्धं पवित्रमिदमुत्तमम् । यज्ञोपवीतं देवेश प्रगृहाण नमोऽस्तु ते
tato yajñopavītaṃ dadyāt anena maṃtreṇa | sūtrataṃtumayaṃ śuddhaṃ pavitramidamuttamam | yajñopavītaṃ deveśa pragṛhāṇa namo'stu te
แล้วพึงถวายยัชโญปวีตะ (สายศักดิ์สิทธิ์) ด้วยมนต์นี้ว่า “ยัชโญปวีตะอันประเสริฐนี้ ทำด้วยเส้นด้ายบริสุทธิ์ เป็นสิ่งชำระให้ผ่องใสยิ่งนัก ข้าแต่เทวेशวร ขอทรงรับไว้ นอบน้อมแด่พระองค์”
