आयुर्मनोर्युगानां च साधिका ह्येकसप्ततिः । चतुर्दशमनूनां च कालेन ब्रह्मणो दिनम्

อายุแห่งยุคของมะนู กล่าวกันว่ามีเจ็ดสิบเอ็ด (พร้อมส่วนเพิ่มบางประการ) และด้วยช่วงเวลาของมะนูทั้งสิบสี่ จึงวัดได้ว่าเป็น ‘วันของพระพรหม’
