gaṃdhamādanasaṃsthāyā mahāgajapramāṇataḥ | phalāni jaṃbavāstannāmnā jaṃbūdvīpamiti smṛtam

Translation

ด้วยเหตุแห่งต้นชมพู่ที่ตั้งอยู่บนคันธมาทนะ—ซึ่งผลมีขนาดเท่าช้างใหญ่ผู้ทรงพลัง—ดินแดนนี้จึงเป็นที่จดจำตามนามนั้นว่า “ชมพูทวีป”
