krodhapaṃke madagrāhe lobhabudbadasaṃkaṭe | mānagaṃbhīrapātāle sattvayānavibhūṣite

ในปลักโคลนแห่งโทสะ ท่ามกลางจระเข้แห่งความเมามัว ในความปั่นป่วนอันคับขันของฟองคลื่นแห่งความโลภ และในบาดาลอันลึกของความทะนง—มหาสมุทรสังสารนี้น่าสะพรึง แม้จะดูประดับด้วย ‘พาหนะ’ แห่งสัตตวะ (ความดีอันปรากฏ) ก็ตาม
