इत्थं निशम्य नृपतेर्वचनं तदानीं सर्वेऽपि ते षडथ तं मुनिमुख्यमाशु । चित्ते विधाय मुदिताः प्रययुर्द्विजेंद्रं जिज्ञासवः सुचिरजीवितहेतुमस्य

itthaṃ niśamya nṛpatervacanaṃ tadānīṃ sarve'pi te ṣaḍatha taṃ munimukhyamāśu | citte vidhāya muditāḥ prayayurdvijeṃdraṃ jijñāsavaḥ sucirajīvitahetumasya

ครั้นได้ฟังพระดำรัสของพระราชาในกาลนั้น ทั้งหกก็รีบมุ่งไปยังมุนีผู้ประเสริฐนั้นโดยพลัน ด้วยจิตยินดี พวกเขาไปเฝ้าพราหมณ์ผู้เลิศ เพื่อใคร่รู้เหตุแห่งอายุยืนยาวอันยิ่งของท่าน
