चैत्यवृक्षं चितिं यूपं शिवनिर्माल्यभोजिनम् । वेदविक्रयिणं स्पृष्ट्वा सचैलो जलमाविशेत्

caityavṛkṣaṃ citiṃ yūpaṃ śivanirmālyabhojinam | vedavikrayiṇaṃ spṛṣṭvā sacailo jalamāviśet

เมื่อแตะต้องต้นไม้ศักดิ์สิทธิ์ (ไจตยะ), เชิงตะกอนเผาศพ, เสายัญ (ยูปะ), ผู้กินนฤมาลยะของพระศิวะ หรือผู้ขายพระเวท พึงลงสู่น้ำทั้งยังสวมผ้า เพื่อชำระให้บริสุทธิ์
