แม้ในเวลาถืออุโบสถหรืออดอาหาร การทำความสะอาดฟันและทาอัญชัน (ขอบตา) มิใช่โทษ ทั้งกลิ่นหอม เครื่องประดับ ผ้าสะอาด พวงมาลัยดอกไม้ และการชโลมเครื่องหอม ก็ไม่เป็นโทษ
