स्कंद उवाच । सम्यगापृच्छि भवता काशीवासिसमाहितम् । कुंभसंभव विप्रर्षे दंडपाणि कथानकम्
skaṃda uvāca | samyagāpṛcchi bhavatā kāśīvāsisamāhitam | kuṃbhasaṃbhava viprarṣe daṃḍapāṇi kathānakam
สกันทะตรัสว่า: โอ้ผู้กำเนิดจากหม้อ (กุมภะ) โอ้พราหมณ์ผู้ประเสริฐ ท่านถามได้ถูกต้องแล้วถึงเรื่องราวของทัณฑปาณิ ผู้ภักดีต่อกาศีและตั้งมั่นในความศักดิ์สิทธิ์ของนครนั้น
