satvāvalaṃbitaprāṇamāyuḥśeṣeṇarakṣitam | niḥśvāsocchāsapavanavṛttisūcitajīvitam

ชีวิตอาศัยปราณที่ตั้งมั่นด้วยสัทตวะค้ำจุนไว้ แต่ดำรงอยู่ได้เพียงด้วยเศษส่วนแห่งอายุที่เหลือ; ความมีอยู่ของมันรู้ได้จากลมแห่งลมหายใจออกและลมหายใจเข้าเท่านั้น
