yajuruvāca | yo yajñairakhilairīśo yogena ca samijyate | yena pramāṇaṃ hi vayaṃ sa ekaḥ sarvadṛkchivaḥ
Yajur (personified Yajurveda/Śruti)
Tirtha: Kāśī-kṣetra
Type: kshetra
Listener: A sage/audience (addressed as ‘mune’)
Scene: Personified Yajurveda speaks in praise of Śiva: a serene, all-seeing Mahādeva receiving both sacrificial oblations and yogic meditation, suggesting the convergence of Vedic fire and inner fire.
Śiva is affirmed as the single, all-seeing Lord who is approached both through Vedic sacrifice and inner yogic realization, and who stands as the ultimate standard of truth.
The verse occurs in the Kāśīkhaṇḍa (Kāśī/Varanasi cycle), indirectly supporting Kāśī’s Śaiva greatness by grounding it in Vedic testimony, though no single tirtha is named in this line.
No specific rite is prescribed; it broadly references worship through all yajñas (sacrifices) and through yoga.
